Surprisingly the story of the tragedy of
911, when the Twin Towers were destroyed, actually starts about 3,000 years ago as
detailed in 1 Kings. Solomon had built the temple according to his father’s
instructions. Then the temple was dedicated to the Lord in a ceremony that lasted days.
Later in chapter 9, the Lord appeared to Solomon. And here’s what He decreed in 1
Kings 9:3-9: “I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou has made
before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou has built, to put my name there for
ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
“And if thou wilt walk before
me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do
according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
“Then I will establish the
throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying,
There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
“But if ye shall at all turn
from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my
statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
“Then will I cut off Israel
out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my
name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all
people:
“And at this house, which is
high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall
say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?
“And they shall answer, Because
they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of
Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them:
therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.”
The nation of Israel was unique in world
history. It was a nation founded for a purpose by a people who were called by God to serve
God. With this in mind, King Solomon built a temple to the Living God for the purpose of
worshipping Him. There were responsibilities involved with regard to standing alone in the
world as a nation of God's chosen. The people were required to be obedient to Him. There
was a promise of blessing for obedience and a curse for turning away from God involved.

In the same way America was founded
uniquely in the world as a Christian nation dedicated to the service of the Almighty God.
As we discussed earlier the Founders were well aware of this national calling along with
the blessings and cursings that are associated with it. Like Solomon, our first President
George Washington delivered a solemn warning with regard to America's responsibilities.
During his first inaugural address
George Washington warned of what would happen if America turned from God. This speech was
delivered just down the street from 911.
According to Wikipedia, "On April
30, 1789, the inaugural ceremony took place on the balcony of Federal Hall in New York
City, then the first US Capitol and the first site where the 1st United States Congress
met.
"Since nearly first light a crowd
of people had begun to gather around Washington's home, and at noon they made their way to
Federal Hall by way of Queen Street and Great Dock (both now Pearl Street) and Broad
Street. Washington dressed in an American-made dark brown suit with white silk stockings
and silver shoe buckles; he also wore a steel-hilted sword."
The location of Federal Hall was right
off Wall Street near the NY Stock Exchange. In fact, when we were in NY we saw the statue
of George Washington at that very location. When we turned around we could see the Stock
Exchange, just blocks away from Ground Zero.
Washington's inaugural was clear in
stating that America is God ordained and will be judged if it does not follow God. In his
address, just like his precursor Solomon in ancient Israeli history, you will see him
proclaiming first blessing to those who follow God and then judgment for those who turn
from him.
First, while identifying America as a
Christian nation Washington declared: ".
. . No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts
the affairs of men more than those of the United States. Every step by which they have
advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by
some token of providential agency; and in the important revolution just accomplished in
the system of their united government the tranquil deliberations and voluntary consent of
so many distinct communities from which the event has resulted can not be compared with
the means by which most governments have been established without some return of pious
gratitude, along with an humble anticipation of the future blessings which the past seem
to presage.
". . . I dwell on this prospect with every
satisfaction which an ardent love for my country can inspire, since there is no truth more
thoroughly established than that there exists in the economy and course of nature an
indissoluble union between virtue and happiness; between duty and advantage; between the
genuine maxims of an honest and magnanimous policy and the solid rewards of public
prosperity and felicity; since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious
smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of
order and right which Heaven itself has ordained; and since the preservation of the
sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly
considered, perhaps, as deeply as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands
of the American people.
". . . Having thus imparted to you
my sentiments as they have been awakened by the occasion which brings us together, I shall
take my present leave; but not without resorting once more to the benign Parent of the
Human Race in humble supplication that, since He has been pleased to favor the American
people with opportunities for deliberating in perfect tranquility, and dispositions for
deciding with unparalleled unanimity on a form of government for the security of their
union and the advancement of their happiness, so His divine blessing may be equally
conspicuous in the enlarged views, the temperate consultations, and the wise
measures on which the success of this Government must depend."
Then later George Washington worshipped
and prayed for our country at St. Pauls Chapel in NY City. This historic chapel stands
right next to Ground Zero, but was not destroyed. Interestingly if was saved by a sycamore
that was felled as a result of the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers.
According to the Wikipedia: "George
Washington, along with members of the United States Congress, worshipped at St. Paul's
Chapel on his Inauguration Day, on April 30, 1789. Washington also attended services at St.
Paul's during the two years New York City was the country's capital. Above Washington's
pew is an 18th-century oil painting of the Great Seal of the United States; adopted in
1782." It was on the day of his inauguration at St. Paul's that Washington prayed for
the nation. At one time St. Paul's owned the land where the Twin Towers rose into the
heavens like a mighty Tower of Babel demonstrating the might of America.
"The rear of St. Paul's Chapel
faces Church Street, opposite the east side of the World Trade Center site. After the
attack on September 11, 2001, which led to the collapse of the Twin Towers of the World
Trade Center, St. Paul's Chapel served as a place of rest and refuge for recovery workers
at the WTC site.
"For eight months, hundreds of
volunteers worked 12 hour shifts around the clock, serving meals, making beds, counseling
and praying with fire fighters, construction workers, police and others. Massage
therapists, chiropractors, podiatrists and musicians also tended to their needs.
"'Healing Hearts and Minds', an
exhibit inside the chapel, consisting of a red chasuble covered with police and
firefighter patches sent from all over the world. A British Bobby's helmet is on top.
"The church survived without even a
broken window. Church history declares it was spared by a miracle sycamore on the
northwest corner of the property that was hit by debris. The tree's root has been
preserved in a bronze memorial by sculptor Steve Tobin. While the church's organ was badly
damaged by smoke and dirt, the organ has been refurbished and is in use again."
The fact that God saved this church, the
oldest building in Manhattan, and where the Republic was spiritually christened, provided America
with an awesome warning of what 911 was all about. It's preservation in the midst of a
Muslim attack was a certain address to the nation that this attack was a premonition of
the judgment of God and a call to repentance.
But as a symbol of its defiance, while
refusing to turn back to the faith of our fathers, New Yorkers even allowed the building
of a Muslim mosque near Ground Zero. As written by Andrea Peyser of the NY Post on May 13,
2010 "Plans are under way for a Muslim house of worship, topped by a 13-story
cultural center with a swimming pool, in a building damaged by the fuselage of a jet flown
by extremists into the World Trade Center.
"The opening date shall live in
infamy: Sept. 11, 2011. The 10th anniversary of the day a hole was punched in the city's
heart.
"How the devil did this happen?
"Plans to bring what one critic
calls a 'monster mosque' to the site of the old Burlington Coat Factory building, at a
cost expected to top $100 million, moved along for months without a peep."
"Emotions surrounding this site are
strong and run deeper than decisions by planning commissions or the comments of
politicians," wrote Phil Hotsenpiller in the Washington Post on August 30, 2010.
"Never has that been so greatly witnessed than in the last few weeks as the debate
over whether to allow the building of a mosque has arisen. As opponents and supporters
alike started throwing out words like 'religious freedom' and 'tolerance,' it should be
remembered that these principles are exactly what America was founded upon.
". . . Tolerance, which is a
two-way street called respect, is an important attribute - important to our country, and
also important to my Christian heritage. But, tolerance without wisdom and discernment
will breed more violence and a lack of common ground. If the Muslim community is serious
about building bridges then they will respect the place that has been consecrated by the
sacrifice of thousands of Americans."
And so the Christian Science Monitor
reported on September 22, 2011"An Islamic cultural center near the site of the
terrorist attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center held its first exhibit Wednesday
evening, the enthusiasm at the opening belying its troubled beginnings.
"As a
small orchestra played traditional Middle Eastern instruments, people crowded into the
center, where a photo exhibit of New York children of different ethnicities lined the
walls."
Even as New York was debating the
"Ground Zero Mosque," it was obstructing the rebuilding of an Orthodox church
that had been destroyed in the attack. According to www.pravoslavie.ru, "George
Demos, a Republican Candidate for Congress in New York's First Congressional District,
wrote on the subject that, 'On September 11, 2001, over 3,000 Americans … were taken
from us by the evil acts of Islamic extremists bent on destroying our freedoms.
"'Amid the thick smoke and choking
ashes of that fateful day, the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church was reduced to dust,' he
said.
"What an outrage that our
government has put roadblocks in the path of its own citizens trying rebuild their beloved
Church destroyed by Islamic extremists, while Saudi Arabia, a nation that prohibits people
from even wearing a Cross or the Star of David, now provokes the families of those who
lost loved ones by apparently funneling money to build a mosque at the same location,' he
said.
"The St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox
Church, built in the early 1900's to serve Greek and other Orthodox immigrants of the
neighborhood, was crushed by the falling south tower. Since the attack, the church has met
with many delays and red tape in its rebuilding, mostly from the Port of Authority of New
York and New Jersey, Demos said."
So the "Ground Zero Mosque," a
tribute to the faith of the attackers, was consecrated on the 10 Anniversary of 911. It
was funded in part by our over a thousand year old enemies in Saudi Arabia, where the
Muslim faith was born. Then NY stood in the way of rebuilding an Orthodox Christian
church, which was the very Eastern Christian faith that Muslims persecuted when it
attacked and eventually conquered the Byzantine Empire. If that isn't looking God in the
face and saying "to heck with You," I don't know what is. Only in an America
that had turned its heart from God could something like this have happened.
The ruination of the nation of Israel
clearly resulted in from their disobedience to God. The ultimate result was the
destruction of Solomon's temple by the Babylonians. The temple was a symbol of Israel's
pride. Therefore, it seems fitting that God delivered his first warning of destruction to
a rebellious America by allowing the destruction of a national symbol of pride on the very
turf that America was consecrated to God.
Up through the 20th Century America
stood among the nations as one that was supremely blessed by God. But as that century
closed, as we have discovered, like the nation of Israel in its latter days, America began
to take on the complexion of Babylon. Could it be that America was quickly degenerating
from "One Nation Under God" to the fulfillment of Nebuchadnezzar's dream
regarding the kingdoms of the world? Could it be, like ancient Israel, that America would
ultimately find itself in Babylonian captivity?
Traditionally, this is not how our
modern so-called Last Days prophets have seen it. They have spent years erroneously
declaring that the last kingdom in Nebuchadnezzar's dream is Western Europe. The problem
with modern interpretations of Nebuchadnezzar's statue is they have assumed that modern Babylon
is a geographical reincarnation of Ancient Rome. Thus they picked the European Common
Market. They were wrong for these reasons:
1) The borders of the Ancient Roman
Empire extended much further than Western Europe. It also encompassed Eastern Europe, North
Africa including Egypt and the Middle East all the way to the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
If modern Rome is going to be a geographical duplicate of Ancient Rome, then it would have
to encompass those areas as well. Additionally, the Western European nation of Germany
wasn't even a part of the ancient Roman Empire.
2) The kingdoms foretold in
Nebuchadnezzar's statue did not occupy the same geographical area. Babylon encompassed the
Middle East. Persia spanned all the way from the Middle East to the borders of India.
Alexander's Greece spanned Eastern Europe and into India. Rome spanned part of Western
Europe, Eastern Europe, a portion of the Middle East and Northern Africa.
The last kingdom of the world is not Rome
itself, but a resurrection of Babylon just like Rome was. So Modern Babylon is not about
geography but religion, defiance, decadence, dictatorial oppressive government, undisputed
world power and economical prosperity. We've shown America has become all of that.
The one geographical area that was in
common to all the empires was Israel. Also Israel was interwoven in the destinies of those
empires. The Jews were in Babylonian captivity and thus Daniel gave prophesies to
Nebuchadnezzar regarding the future and predicted the fall of the Babylonian Empire.
Daniel also was influential with the Persian King and eventually the Persian Cyrus sent
the Jews back to Israel. Rome harbored Israel where the birth of the world's Savior
occurred and whose believers turned the course of the empire. Eventually the Roman emperor
Titus dispersed the Jewish Nation because of a rebellion that began in 66 AD. And they
remained dispersed until the beginning of the 20th Century.
When the nation of Israel was being
reestablished in the modern world, it is interesting that President Woodrow Wilson was
informed of America's resultant role in world history. On June 14,
1917 William E Blackstone wrote a letter to the president stating, "Believing
that the progress of events augur the imminence of the psychological moment for benign
action in behalf of the Jews, similar to that exhibited by Cyrus of Persia, and
assured of your sympathy and willingness to aid the Jewish people in their present tragic
sufferings, and praying that you may seize the opportunity of securing to yourself and our
nation the blessing, promised by God to Abraham and his seed, by showing kindness to
Israel I am most respectfully,
"Your obedient servant,
"William E. Blackstone"
Later Wilson
soliloquized to Rabbi Stephen Wise during a meeting of June 30, 1917.
"'I
am a son of the manse, son of a Presbyterian clergyman, and therefore am with you
completely and am proud to think that I may in some degree help you rebuild Palestine.'
"Wise
went on during his presentation of the Blackstone Memorial to President Wilson to garb Wilson in
the imagery of Cyrus the Great. Wise suggested that Cyrus's greatness, his place in
history, was recorded in Bible because he restored Israel."
Harry Truman, as quoted in "With
Eyes Toward Zion" (1977) by Moshe Davis, commented years later in November 1953 about
his recognition of Israel, "What do you mean 'helped create'? I am Cyrus. I am
Cyrus." This was his response to being described by his friend Eddie Jacobsen as
the man who helped create the state of Israel. Obviously Truman was likening himself to
the Persian King Cyrus who returned the children of Israel back to their homeland after
years of Babylonian captivity.
Ironically Truman prayed in 1946,
"Oh, for an Isaiah or a St. Paul to reawaken a sick world to its moral
responsibilities."
America's place in the modern world is
definitely tied to her relation with Israel both spiritually and politically. Arabs hate America
because 1) as Christians descendants of Jews and 2) because America is an ally of the
Jewish Nation. 911 came directly out of that hatred.

The parallels between Rome during the
fall of the Republic and Modern America are remarkable:
Rome forsook the Republic and became an
Empire with a dictator when Octavian came on the scene. This occurred when Octavian
(Augustus) pulled of his historic snafu of the weak Senate and gained absolute dictatorial
authority over the Empire. In the same way President Clinton pulled off snafu-after-snafu
to avoid being taken down during his impeachment trial thus dramatically weakening the
Senate that did not have the guts to stand up to him.
After years of war with Carthage and
civil war at home, Rome was ready for world peace. After years of two World Wars, Korea, Viet
Nam and the Cold War Americans were likewise ready for world peace. Thus Lennon's
"Give peace a chance," became the mantra of the day. And like the era of Pax
Romana of Ancient Rome, America put her military might behind her dogma of peace.
Rome had become the undisputed military
power in the world - And in the years following the end of the Cold War, so had America.
Therefore, both Octavian and Clinton stood as leaders of the free world. In the
anticipation peaceful times both weakened their domains by scaling back the military.
Octavian made promises of Pax Romana
-worldwide peace through strength which would open the trade routes and create prosperity.
President Clinton promised the same.
Because of its republic Romans lived in
a free society. Likewise, with a republic modeled after Rome, American's were free.
Octavian gave the people their forms of
decadent entertainment in the form of lewd sexual acts in both the arena and the theaters
while providing the Empire with all the violence it needed in the games held in the
Coliseum. The world of President Clinton was likewise filled with violence and decadence.
As we have detailed, the sports scene in America was going over the top with its promotion
of violence. In addition, President Clinton was directly linked with Hollywood and
supported the smut that came out of there.
Octavian offered government give-a-ways
to appease the populace and gain popularity to secure his rule. During his impeachment
trial President Clinton did the same to save his neck.
Octavian was renowned for his popularity
and so was Clinton. During his rise to dictatorship before the Senate, Octavian was at the
peak of his popularity up to that point. During the impeachment trial President Clinton's
popularity rose to close to new heights. Almost 70% of America favored him in spite of his
immoral behavior.
Octavian used deception by pretending to
resign and stacking the deck with Senators friendly to his cause who cried out
"No!"- Octavian also killed his enemies and curtailed free speech. He eliminated
his opposition in any way he could. So did President Clinton use deception to attain his
ends. He bribed and cajoled potential witnesses into silence and no doubt had Vincent
Foster and Judge Hale killed. He eliminated his opposition through the use of personal
attacks. He attacked anyone who disagreed with him using the arm of the IRS and proposals
of anti-terrorist legislation to be used against militias and abortion protestors. During
his second term he stacked the deck with Senators during the midterm elections by
distracting the nation with phony wars and baited them with visions of prosperity and
government give-aways. Once President Clinton had gotten his quorum of Senators, there was
no way he would be thrown out of office.
As Octavian curtailed free speech, Clinton
attacked it in the form of the blaming abortion protestors and militias for every random
act of terrorism that occurred. The purpose in his attempt to ramrod an anti-terrorist
bill through Congress was to silence Christians. Hillary Clinton joined in to label them
as a "right wing conspiracy" in order to attack free speech.
The resignation of the world leader had
everything to do with the both the ancient and modern incidents before the Senate.
Octavian told the senate he was going to resign. In the same way, many were demanding that
Clinton resign.
Octavian's Senate caved in because they
were afraid to confront a popular warrior. Thus because they did not have the political
will to stem the tide of dictatorship, they became impotent and merely and arm of Caesar.
Likewise Clinton's Senate cowered for the same reasons and let him off the hook. To look
at how Obama was later able to cajole the US Senate into violating the Constitution and
their own rules in order to pass a very unpopular health care bill is proof that the
Senate had become simply and arm of the President. (Same dynamic occurred during the
George W Bush years) Therefore, the American Republic, like Rome, died during Clinton's
Impeachment trial.
But worst of all was President
Clintons's disregard for the children of America. He not only agreed with the slaughter of
the unborn, but he campaigned for it and persecuted those who stood against it. Never
before had a president so blatantly and publicly supported this vile practice. History
will look at this genocide as the worst sin this country has ever committed. Slavery was
terrible, but it wasn't a holocaust. The nation should have been appalled at President
Clinton. But instead they reelected him and granted him extraordinarily high approval
numbers.
America was given a fair chance to turn
to God at that point. There was one last chance to end the blasphemy. Through the
impeachment process America could oust President Clinton from office.
On 9-11-98 Kenneth Starr's report to
Congress regarding the impeachment was released by Gingrich and the House for all America
to see the despicable things that President Clinton did in the White House. Because America
was uniquely founded as a nation under God (that being Jesus) the seat of government has
always been understood as being holy ground. Therefore we see scriptures depicted on
governmental buildings throughout Washington DC. Moses with the Ten Commandments stands in
the main reading room of the Library of Congress. On the ceiling there is a painting
called "Judea" depicting a young Israeli woman lifting her hands to God. In the
National Archives there is a bronze medallion on the floor, and right at the top of it are
the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments decorate the outside of the US Supreme Court.
The Ten Commandments are also on the wall above the judges' courtroom bench. The
Department of the Interior has a time capsule behind one of the corner walls that contains
the Bible. Before Congress meets they pray.
When President Clinton defiled the White
House he trampled on God. Babylon destroyed God's temple and the things holy to God were
defiled. The Roman Emperor Titus destroyed the temple once again and Rome fell.
So, at the reading of Starr's report the
American people had the chance to stand for God. They had the opportunity to turn against
the one who had desecrated what is holy. But instead, Clinton's popularity rating went up
almost to 70%.
As of Clinton's acquittal the American Republic
ceased to exist.
Throughout history the kingdoms of men
have been given warnings of what would occur to them if they failed to bow before God.
Nimrod was the first Assyrian King and the first antichrist as well. The Assyrians were
brutal conquerors. But though God's prophet Jonah they were given a chance to repent.
Their repentance was short-lived and eventually Babylon conquered them. Babylon had Daniel
to prophecy to them, but they ignored the prophet and fell to Persia. Persia had Daniel as
well who testified of God, but they fell to Greece. Though the Persian Empire eventually
rose back up, it was never the sole world power again. Rome had it's prophets of doom in
the forms of people like Cicero and Augustine. Pilate officiated over the trial of Jesus
and had a chance to repent, but instead, because of political pressure, ordered His
crucifixion. In addition it is no coincidence that Paul was driven by God towards Rome to
witness to Nero and even live in his courts. (Acts 19:21; 23:11) But the Caesar would not
listen, killed Paul and many Christians. Eventually the Empire fell.
Is America without her warnings? 911
occurred exactly 3 years to the day after Ken Starr's report was released. The destruction
at Ground Zero was a warning of impending judgment if the nation failed to turn back to
God. When we look upon the judgment of Israel for turning from God we see that the
scriptures assure us that 911 was more than coincidence.
In particular, President Clinton played
a direct roll in 911 by refusing to take the opportunity to capture Bin Laden when the
terrorist was put right in his grasp. The first WTC bombing occurred right on his watch
and he just set on his hands. Rather than going after the source, he made up fake wars
against a popular enemy in order to shore up public opinion and divert people away from
his antics. Americans bought into the deception and they paid the price. For had Clinton
taken those opportunities to rid the world of Bin Laden, 911 never would have happened.
The cause and effect of America's apostasy is obvious.
Like America, Israel was given strong
warnings of impending doom when the Assyrians attacked them. Rather than turning to God,
they asserted their defiance. They assured themselves that they could stem off the violent
horde by rebuilding that which was destroyed with stone and re planting the Sycamores that
the Assyrians destroyed with Cedars.
Likewise, 911 was an attack on America
by Assyria. That's why President George W. Bush attacked Iraq, which was in fact ancient Assyria.
In the same way, in defiance, America, rather than turning back to God, promised to
rebuild and re-plant.
